Mai Izz El Din places drama in jeopardy for sake of Tamer Husni
Egyptian actress Mai Izz El Din has placed the makers of the new drama series “Villa Karma” in a dilemma by turning her mobile phone off without giving them her final decision about taking part in the drama, which is scheduled to be aired during the Ramadan season of the current year. A dispute had risen between Mai and the drama makers over her participation in another drama alongside Egyptian singer Tamer Husni.
Mai’s actions has led the drama makers to seek a replacement since it is apparent to them that she is preoccupied with other dramas that will also air in Ramadan.
Producer of the drama “Villa Karma” stated that Mai had refused to back out of her participation in Tamer’s drama despite the fact that she had previously signed a contract to star in “Villa Karma” worth 2.5 million Egyptian pounds and had received a down payment.
The producer added that Mai held work sessions with the makers of the drama “Villa Karma” and made alterations to her role, in addition to having traveled to London to buy the wardrobe for the role herself.
